First Workplaces lands in Valencia: first ``coworking'' of 3,230 M2

First Workplaces lands in Valencia. The company in which Sherpa Capital participates has signed an agreement to open its first flexible work centre in the capital of Levante. The building located at number 3 Pintor Sorolla Street with an area of 3,230 square meters, as confirmed by the company to EjePrime.

Currently, the property, owned by Fiatc Mutua de Segurod, is being completely renovated both inside and in the facade. The works will allow First Workplaces to offer the latest technologies applied to the real estate sector. The operation has been advised by BNP Paribas for the company and by Cbre for the property.

The centre will offer spaces ranging from ten square metres to complete corporate floors for large equipment. In addition, services will be installed according to the needs of each client. On the other hand, there will also be several meeting rooms, rest areas, a catering area and a terrace on the top floor that will allow the organization of events.

First Workplaces will have nine flexible work centers located in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

- The company's general manager, Óscar García Toledo, explained that Valencia has "great potential for development" in the flexible office segment as it has "high business activity and international appeal". In this sense, the consultancy firm BNP Paribas explained that the arrival of operators such as First Workplaces shows "the upward trend of the Valencian market".

- With the opening of this new centre, the coworking company will have nine spaces. Six of its establishments are located in Madrid, while the other two are located in Barcelona. In total, the centres total 30,000 square metres.

The company expects to have a portfolio of between 18 and 20 centres in Spain and Portugal by 2021.

- The company, led by Garcia Toledo, expects to close 2019 with a turnover of six million euros, representing an increase of 33% over 2018. The company's growth plan is to have a portfolio of between 18 and 20 centres in Spain and Portugal by 2021.

On the other hand, First Workplaces also plans to multiply its workforce, going from the current 45 to a team of 150 people in the next two years, with the aim of being present in the main Spanish cities.
