Sherpa Capital, a private equity fund manager focused on mid-sized companies, with 300 million under management, announces the acquisition of Laboratorios Forenqui, a leading Spanish company in the production and distribution of personal care and hygiene products.
Based in Valencia, Forenqui is a family business with more than 30 years of history. It has a workforce of around 100 employees and annual revenues of around 30 million euros, of which more than 50% are international, coming from markets such as Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Forenqui has experienced strong growth in recent years thanks to the opening up of new international markets and the strengthening of commercial links with national clients with whom it has a long-standing relationship.
Sherpa Capital's entry responds to the need to manage the generational change in the company's shareholding and to accompany the management team in the execution of the strategic plan. As part of the agreement, the current shareholder and CEO of the company will remain involved in the management during a transition period. In addition, the current management team will continue to play a key role in the achievement of the business plan over the coming years.
This transaction is part of Sherpa Capital's strategy of investing in growth companies, focusing mainly on opportunities in sector concentration processes and in companies that are in the process of expansion.
The transaction was advised by Alantra as financial advisor to Laboratorios Forenqui, Eversheds Sutherland as legal advisor to Sherpa and KPMG as financial advisor to Sherpa.
