Nextil pursues its growth strategy with the acquisition of Anna Llop Disseny

NEXTIL-NUEVA EXPRESIÓN TEXTIL, formerly DOGI INTERNATIONAL FABRICS, progresses with its Strategic Plan to become the benchmark industrial group in the textile sector. To this end, the company has closed the purchase of ANA LLOP DISSENY business unit, that is engaged in the design and production of swimwear fabrics for top global brands and has managed to position itself internationally thanks to a solid track record and to continuous research in trends, innovation of materials and design.

The design and operations team is integrated within NEXTIL group, which introduces in the group a differentiating brand targeted to the high-end swim and sportswear segment. The design library as well as 2018, 2019 and 2020 collections, already presented, are also included within the scope of this transaction to which they bring and added-value.

Founded in 1992, ANNA LLOP is the world leader in high-end swimwear, selling its collections to the top athleisure customers in the world. The brand’s comparative advantage with respect to its competitors is its colour specialisation, key to the success of its printed collection.

The investment announced today allows NEXTIL to strengthen its presence within the swim and sportswear segment, both in the fast-fashion and in the traditional sector, where ANNA LLOP brings a key value to the design of collections characterised by their quality and high-level. Moreover, this integration strengthens the Group’s verticalisation strategy and, thanks to it, very important synergies are generated in fabric manufacturing at El Masnou plant, in the design of plain and printed items, and in the production for first-rate global brands.

Alfredo Bru, NEXTIL CEO, has declared that “the acquisition of ANNA LLOP, which is the first one of the Group for this year, consolidates our competitive positioning within the swim and sportswear unit thanks to the leading position of ANNA LLOP’s in the sector.” Additionally, the operation involves an important step to keep moving forward in our strategy to convert NEXTIL into a benchmark textile group with the best value offer for our clients.”

Growth through Acquisitions

Grupo NEXTIL’s Strategic Plan, which ultimate objective is the creation of a relevant textile conglomerate with a turnover of the order of € 200 million in 2020, continues with the incorporation of ANA LLOP. This acquisition will considerably propel the swimwear design and manufacturing business unit. The transaction adds to those carried out previously: TREISS, QTT, Busmartex and RITEX.

The Group’s strategic objective for the coming months will still focus on organic and inorganic growth. In that sense, besides the purchase announced today, Grupo NEXTIL keeps working to carry out new acquisitions in its operating sectors, as well as in new strategic opportunities within the textile sector in order to keep enhancing its service and product portfolio.
